Dog Day Care — Sit, Stay, Run, Play, Exercise & Socialize
Dog Day Care is specially designed for dogs who enjoy socializing and playing with other social dogs. Just like people, dogs need to play and expend energy, socialize, stimulate their minds and get exercise to help them be well adjusted and happy. Fun-filled days with our trained staff ensures your dog's day is packed with fetching balls, playing with interactive toys, lots of running and interaction with other dogs in a safe environment, all under the supervision of our Dog Day Care managers. We offer specific Dog Day Care play groups for both small and big dogs.
Please Note: Safety First — Always. Dog Day Care is not for every dog. Dog Day Care is a place for social dogs to have fun playing with other social dogs. It is not an environment for dogs with socialization or aggression issues to learn how to be social with other dogs. For those dogs who are not social or require special attention during the day we offer our day boarding service option.

Hours
Dog Day Care is offered Monday-Fridays 8 AM — 6 PM. Participants not picked up by closing time will be considered overnight boarding guests and charged the standard nightly pet boarding rate accordingly. They will be available for pick-up after 8 AM.
Our pet boarding lobby reception area opens at 7 AM Mondays-Fridays for the convenience of those needing to drop off their pet for dog day care earlier than 8 AM.

Dog Day Care fees are based on individual session or pre-paid pass purchase. Pre-paid pass sales are final — we're sorry, we cannot issue refunds for unused sessions. See our staff for pricing details.

Our number one priority is the health and safety of each Dog Day Care guest. Our health and vaccination requirements are in the best interest of all therefore, all guests are required to meet our health and vaccination standards outlined below:
Vaccination Requirements
- Rabies: Current in the past 2 years for adults & within the past year for puppies (at least 12 weeks of age — 6 months of age)
- DHLPP: Current in the last year
- Bordetella: Current in the last year
Exception: Puppies must be at least 12 weeks of age and completed their first two series of vaccinations, including the bordetella vaccine
- Fecal Exam: Current negative fecal result in the last year (12 months)
Exception: Puppies must be at least 12 weeks of age and completed a fecal exam with a negative fecal result
- All dogs are required to be on an internal heartworm blood parasite preventive year round. (i.e. Sentinel, Interceptor, etc.)
- All dogs are required to be on a flea/tick preventive upon admittance (i.e. Vectra, Parastar)
Sorry, we cannot accept any guests wearing flea/tick collars
All guests must be in good health and must not be ill or have been exposed to any contagious or communicable condition within the last 30 days prior to check-in. For the health and safety of each of our guests, we do require all our clients to certify that their pet is in good health and free from illness upon reservation check-in. All pet parents must have a Dog Day Care and Pet Boarding Guest Profile form completed and on file with us prior to their pets' check-in.
Any guests showing signs of fleas or ticks upon admittance will be treated at owner's expense.
Pets showing signs of sneezing, coughing, gagging, vomiting, diarrhea or lethargy may not be admitted. These conditions may require a health exam with our veterinarians to be cleared for check-in. Our staff will discuss details with you should these situations occur with your pet prior to check-in.
If at any time while your pet is in our care it becomes evident that he/she is ill, our medical staff will notify you of the situation so that proper steps can be taken in your pet's best interest.
Dog day care isn't for everyone — this is why each dog receives a professional assessment to ensure they are compatible and can play safely within this type of social atmosphere. Assessments are done by appointment with our dog day care supervisor, and performed at certain times of day and days of the week when the environment isn't as busy with the 'play pack' in session. The assessment process helps ensure a successful and positive experience for the newcomer, by conducting a systematic series of phased steps developed to monitor the dog's reactions as they are exposed to the new environment and individual dog greetings. As the newcomer is taken through the assessment process and first introductions with other dog day care participants, they are in a controlled environment and monitored for their reactions during these many types of interactions with individual members of the play pack. Once the newcomer is deemed 'safe for dog day care play' and accepted into our program by our dog day care supervisor, he/she can attend dog day care. Schedules are discussed, your questions answered and let the fun begin!
Obviously for the safety of all concerned, any dog who appears overly aggressive or shows aggressive tendencies will not be allowed in dog day care.
Dog Day Care is a cage-free indoor and outdoor play environment for social dogs to have fun and play with other social dogs. Safety is a priority that we take seriously. Dog Day Care is not for every dog and it is not a place for dogs with social or aggression issues to learn how to be social with others. All our guests must be accepted into our program and must:
Even though we are expanding, Dog Day Care has limited spots available daily. We strongly encourage reservations be made in advance. Priority is given to clients with advanced standing reservations.
We request cancellation of dog day care reservations at least 24 hours in advance so we may properly plan our play groups and allow those on our waiting list an opportunity to participate.
We are happy to provide personal guided tours of our boarding, dog day care and hospital facilities upon request. For the benefit of all our guests, tour times are conducted as to not interfere with their feeding, sleeping or cleanliness routines. Our hospitalized patients' care and comfort are our top priority when they are with us in our veterinary hospital, therefore there may be times when tours of the hospital areas may not be available. For the health and safety of our staff, our guests and in accordance with our vaccine and health requirements, no pets are allowed on tours.

our staff cannot contact your pet's veterinarian/veterinary hospital to obtain this information for you.
Payment for boarding, grooming and dog day care services are paid in full upon check-out. Pewaukee Veterinary Service proudly accepts cash, Visa, MasterCard and Discover. We will accept personal checks however not as a method of deposit to secure a boarding reservation. Boarding reservation deposits are by credit card only.

- Pewaukee Veterinary Service reserves the right to refuse admittance to any pet guest for any reason, at any time, who does not have proof of health history and vaccinations, displays behaviors or signs of potentially contagious or untreated conditions, displays aggressive behaviors or who does not comply with our business' temperament and health policies.
- Upon admission or check-in of services your signature of our application agreements acknowledges your awareness and acceptance of our business policies.
