Dr. Randy Schuett
Dr. Randy received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and Bachelor of
Science degrees from Kansas State University. He founded the Pewaukee
Veterinary Service in 1975 with the vision to give the community, his
clients, and most importantly their pets the best veterinary health care
available.
Dr.
Randy is a recent past-president of the Wisconsin Veterinary Medical
Association (WVMA), and has been active for many years in the WVMA in a
variety of roles. He also currently serves as the Wisconsin delegate to the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA).
Dr. Randy’s special
interests include diagnostics, and surgery utilizing a variety of rigid
and flexible scopes. He is a pioneer in the use of laparoscopic technique in
veterinary applications, and as such, has traveled across the United
States and overseas, sharing his expertise in this technique with other
veterinary practitioners. Dr. Randy has been active for a number of years
in an on-going research project studying the use of laparoscopy in
reproduction of bears. The hope is that by refining this technique,
researchers may be able to extend and enhance the breeding capabilities of
endangered species such as the giant panda.
Fishing,
hunting and family keep Randy busy when he is not spoiling his granddaughters.
