Hydrotherapy
Hydrotherapy is
considered the cornerstone of canine rehabilitation. It is a vital part of
a healing program because the benefits are significant. Exercise in our
underwater treadmill can improve your dog's strength, flexibility,
endurance, agility, function and well-being. It can also decrease healing
time and pain.
Hydrotherapy is a flexible therapeutic
modality, which can progress from buoyant to resistive exercise, even to
vigorous activity levels, by varying the water depth, speed and duration.
This modality is indicated in dogs that have musculoskeletal or
neurological dysfunction, or anytime a dog has weakness, lameness, limited
motion, proprioceptive disability or decreased weight bearing. This
therapy is particularly effective as part of a post-operative program for
orthopedic procedures. Hydrotherapy can also be a great resource to help
overweight dogs in losing weight, which is crucial to their overall health
and prevention of injury. The therapy is versatile, easy and fun!
